Classic Car Restoration: Testimonials

1951fordpanel 1951 Ford Panel

I am the owner of a 1951 Ford Panel Truck. (Bad to the Bone)  This vehicle started having issues from the previous restoration done by someone else.  When leaving "Bone" with Les for the restore, I just had that "feel good feeling" that the final product would be an awesome piece of work!

What I experienced dealing with Les and Peggy was, both extremely personable, truthful, honest and fair during the restoration process.  The attention and care my vehicle received has exceeded my expectations.  Les is a true automotive enthusiast, who respects vehicles and the effort it takes to restore one.  Les also has a great sense of pride in his work.  All of this becomes clearly evident in the finished product which has more than delighted me.

Thanks L&P for doing a superior job!

Les is easy to talk with about what work you would like to have done on your vehicle. When and if you talk to his wife Peg, she also is very friendly and will answer your questions or relay them to Les. As you can see from the pictures, Les knows how to complete all work from start to finish for a quality job on your vehicle. My car looks better now than when I got it in December of 1969.

willyfinished0 33 Willys

My name is John Ennis and I have a 1933 Willys all-steel car.  I drive the car all around and it gets lots of road rash.  The two front fenders had lots of stone and rock pits and the trunk area had two bad spots.  I wanted to take the car to the York, PA show, but did not want to paint the entire car this time.  I talked with Les about touching up the pitted areas and he thought it could be done.  The paint color is Hot Pearl Pink form The House Of Color, which I thought would be nearly impossible to match.  Les took the blemished car and turned out one fantastic paint job.  Thank you Les, for a job well done - John Ennis

1957fordthunderbird 1957 Ford Thunderbird

Les Driscoll currently has my 1957 Ford Thunderbird for extensive body work and a total repaint.  While he has not completed that job, I have seen some of the work he has done for several other people and his work is absolutely superlative.  Had I not been convinced of his capabilities, rest assured that I would not have entrusted my Thunderbird to his care.

Les and Peg Driscoll have a wide-ranging reputation for honesty, guaranteed work excellence, and responsiveness.  I would recommend them to anyone looking for a first class automobile restoration.

1968gtoconvertable 1968 GTO Convertable

To My Fellow Americans:

In keeping with our country's call for "change", I decided it was time to "change" my aging, rusting, and fading little 1968 GTO. After searching the internet, interviewing former renovation customers, and auto buffs, the firm of Les-Peggy Driscoll was selected as the candidate most qualified to "change" my car.

After inspecting my car, Les presented me with his best guesstimate of the cost to do the job. He promised to return my car with the changes to meet my specifications. We shook hands and Les took over. Les, assisted by his son, disassembled my car to its bare bones. He tore out the rusted parts, welded in the new, replaced brake lines, hoses, belts ,etc. The interior was completely re-upholstered, and a new top added. The motor was cleaned and painted. Finally, the body was primed, sanded, and re-painted a snappy candy apple red.

During the restoration, Peggy provided me with photo updates showing the work- in- progress. Also I would occasionally pop in to see the work first-hand. Les has lived -up to his "campaign" promises and returned to me a truly "changed" car which I hope will last another 40 years. Further confirmation of the success of my investment has come from all who have seen the new edition, including family members, the man-on-the-street, and even the guys at my local garage. Their first word is usually WOW".

In summary, I am completely satisfied with the work taken to "change' my car. Les, Peg and their son are truly my No. 1 candidate to keep their campaign promises in the car renovation arena.

Les and Peg, thanks again for everything.

1969camaroz10 1969 Camaro Z10

My name is Dave Miller and I’m writing to tell you what a great job Les Driscoll did on my 1969 Camaro Z-10. I’d had the car at two other shops before bringing it to Les in August of 2007. When he got it the car was completely disassembled on a rolling cart and all the removed parts filled about 30 boxes. The car had been acid dipped in PA and the quarter panels and trunk pan had been removed since the plan was to remove any sheet metal that was not perfect. Les started on the car almost right away and worked continuously it seemed until the car was done in June 2007.

His great work, attention to detail, meticulous preparation and the final product have made me 100% happy and I can highly recommend him to anyone wanting anything from a simple paint job all the way to a complete frame off restoration like he did on my Camaro. Feel free to contact me through the address below if you have any questions or would like to see the work he did.

fordvictoriafinished1 1955 Ford Victoria

I met Les while working at USA parts. He was working on his 1967 Olds 442 convertible. Seeing his work on his olds from the ground up, I realized this is the person I would want to do my 55 Ford. My car came from Panama and was undercoated in and out. By replacing my rockers and front quarters, all of  that was removed. Les did a fantastic job on my Ford. I would recommend his work to anyone. See the pictures of the restoration, great paint work!

1939chevysedan 1939 Chevy Sedan

Recently, I needed some restoration work done on my 1939 Chevy sedan.  Les Driscoll was the
man for the job.  He did an excellent job in a very timely fashion.  He is very honest and dependable with everything that he does. I found his price to be reasonable. The job he did for me started with repairing dents.  The biggest part of the job included stripping both fenders.  Next he had to match 3 stage paint and apply the layers with blending that demonstrates a great professional finesse.  During the process, I received e-mails with pictures of the various stages of work.  The final product is great and on inspection, you cannot tell where the original work ends and Les's repairs begin.  Great Job!!

My car is Pearlized Orange and definitely has the "WOW" factor where ever I go.  Les's restoration work just added the final touch.
